Delivery Day for West Rutland
Written by Eric Bird
What’s the perfect recipe for success in the classroom? How about personally handing each student a ruggedized netbook that’s going to be at their fingertips for the rest of the year? Add a large dose of excitement from the Digital Wish team, their teachers, and the administration, a heaping spoonful of local newspaper coverage, and me up front leading goofy cheers and impersonating The Governator.
It was the official netbook handoff day at West Rutland, and Digital Wish was there to capture the moments and lead an informative but fun lesson about the new technology in three classrooms. We also chose to include a Flip video lesson, so the students had the opportunity to experiment with the cool new software and hardware in front of them, and then film a quick student interview with a partner.
Oh, and I’ll be back…to follow up with a student-lead tech lesson.
